NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has reportedly reinstated Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Q*Bert" Jones (he said he didn't want to be called "Pacman" anymore...), clearing the way for Jones to return to the field for the regular season. The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Jones confirmed the good news himself.
Jones' last regular season game was in December 2006 as a member of the Tennessee Titans."It feels good man, you know, to get a second chance and I just have to take advantage of it," said Jones. "First and foremost, I don't want to let myself down, definitely my little girl down. I'm thankful for Jerry [Jones], the fans in Dallas and my teammates for believing in me. I need to keep doing what I've been doing to get reinstated, staying with myself and my teammates and staying away from those knuckleheads and just stay focused."
Jones was asked if he ever thought this day would come.
"I never thought it would take this long, but I'm just glad I'm getting another chance."
In three preseason games, Jones has eight tackles and a pass deflection. He has returned two punts for 42 yards.
Should Jones be allowed to play this year? Does he make the Cowboys the best team in the NFL? Add your comment here.
