NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has reportedly reinstated Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Q*Bert" Jones (he said he didn't want to be called "Pacman" anymore...), clearing the way for Jones to return to the field for the regular season.

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Jones confirmed the good news himself.

"It feels good man, you know, to get a second chance and I just have to take advantage of it," said Jones. "First and foremost, I don't want to let myself down, definitely my little girl down. I'm thankful for Jerry [Jones], the fans in Dallas and my teammates for believing in me. I need to keep doing what I've been doing to get reinstated, staying with myself and my teammates and staying away from those knuckleheads and just stay focused."

Jones was asked if he ever thought this day would come.

"I never thought it would take this long, but I'm just glad I'm getting another chance."

Jones' last regular season game was in December 2006 as a member of the Tennessee Titans.

In three preseason games, Jones has eight tackles and a pass deflection. He has returned two punts for 42 yards.

Should Jones be allowed to play this year? Does he make the Cowboys the best team in the NFL? Add your comment here.

Everyone deserves a second chance. Well, in his case, this may be the 4th or 5th, but what the heck, it sure is entertaining to see if he will mess up again. as his teammate T.O. would say, "get your popcorn ready!"

Yet another example of a spoiled pro without any real accountability.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great athlete, but...2nd chance? This waste of flesh has had multiple chances. Hopefully he and t.o.(note small letters) can destroy Jerry Jones' locker room(lord knows his plastic face is already destroyed) and he can learn to bring some class to the organization. When will we stop glorifing and making these cancers wealthy? Repulsive!!! Dam Goodell, you were doing so well.

yes and yes. everyone except terrorists deserve a second chance, and even a casual observer can sense that once the rust wears off, AJ can be a special corner and will help the "Boys to an NFL record sixth Super Bowl win

you are for sure confused... can't even count the chances this turd's gotten and more like Supper Bowl, there's a place for guy's like jones & t.o....in blogs not the Super Bowl

what do u mean second chance. if you or I did the things he has we would be in jail right now. these professional athletes get away with everything short of murder, and always will as long as there are owners like jerry jones who would sign on osama ben laden if he thought it would mean a super bowl. this is just another reason to root against the cowgirls.
